The service was excellent. The information flow was very good and we had daily exchanges with our agent. She was very responsive and helpful, also in times with struggles with the bureaucracy and the unresponsive French notary. She helped us to have a smooth and as much as possible easy purchase. Also after the purchase, she was very helpful to sign new contracts with gaz/electricity/water suppliers. We strongly recommend Leggett and their agents.

La maison a été vendue en 6 mois environ par l'agence Legget, ce qui est un très bon délai dans le secteur et plus rapide que ce que j'avais imaginé au départ. Les agents Thibault et Joanna ont été très présents et d'une grande aide pour faciliter les démarches.

Sale of a loved home in Rochechouart

your representative Elizabeth Day, was excellent from the first time she came to see us at our holiday home in Rochechouart. her knowledge of the market and the professional way she responded to our questions, problems was excellent. the problem we had with the independent body SARS, no one could stop their determination to rob as much capital gains tax from us and holding back large amounts of euros until we proved we were in the UK tax system, we have had to obtain a letter from HRMC to prove our domicile status, this could take 1 - 2 months. the French system has many rules and when it suits them they apply them to their advantage.
in conclusion, we were looked after very well and, but for Elizabeth we wouldn't have coped with what you can call a nightmare experience.
